Como cada verano, es de esperar que los riesgos de incendios sean más elevados que en otras épocas del año.
¿Por qué se producen más incendios en Verano?
Aunque algunos de los incendios se pueden producir de manera natural como puede ser por la caída de un rayo o erupciones volcánicas, mas calor de lo habitual, la mayoría de las veces estos incendios suceden por descuido del hombre:
- La colilla de un cigarro mal apagada y lanzada sobre la vegetación
- Una fogata mal apagada o mal hecha
- Cualquier tipo de vidrio (botella) o fragmentos del mismo es un elemento refractario que puede provocar un incendio de forma rápida y en verano estos se acentúan más.
- Quemas agrícolas que pueden hacer que el fuego escape
Como puedes comprobar, el fuego es nuestro mayor aliado, pero también puede ser una pesadilla cuando se descontrola ya que provoca una matanza forestal
Como evitar un incendio
Realmente para evitarlo o por lo menos para reducir el riesgo de un posible incendio deberías tomar como referencia la lista de arriba y evitarlas a toda costa, pero lo pondremos, aunque parezca repetitivo:
- Procurar no fumar en zonas con amplia vegetación, pero en caso de que no puedas evitarlo asegúrate bien de que tu cigarro quede bien apagado, mételo en un vaso con agua.
- Haz bien la fogata colocando piedras alrededor de ella y procura evitar que haya cerca de ella vegetación que pueda provocar un incendio.
- Apaga bien la fogata siguiendo estos pasos:
- Echa agua en la fogata
- Mezcla las cenizas y las brasas
- Raspa las partes quemadas con un palo
- Echa mas agua en la fogata
- Asegúrate que los troncos no estén calientes
- Repite todo lo dicho hasta que la zona este fría al tacto
En el bosque no hay extintores, por desgracia
Cuando estamos en zonas más salvajes, la prevención es nuestra mayor arma, ya que no hay extintores colgados en los árboles, solo podemos usar el sentido común y la empatía con la madre naturaleza para evitar un descuido que se convierta en un fuego descontrolado.
Cuando un incendio empieza a generarse en el bosque este se extiende de una manera rápida y violenta, por lo que lo único que te quedaría es correr y llamar a emergencias.
En empresas, naves, industrias, etc siempre existen normativas que se deben cumplir para evitar un incendio, pero en el caso de que se produzca poder combatirlo, y aunque en una casa propia no existan una normativa también puedes tener tu extintor de mano homologado donde puedes combatir un incendio antes de que suceda
